The Swan was our final port of call yesterday. Another roadside pub on a B road. Whilst I think they'd stopped serving food, this felt very much like a pub whose business is based around dining. It was busier than other pubs we'd been to and probably supports the local drinkers too. Ales were Ludlow Gold, Wye Valley Butty Bach & Hobsons Twisted Spire. A comfortable pub that is worth stopping at if passing by.

The family run Swan, which is claimed to be the oldest pub in Shropshire, is located in the attractive village of Aston Munslow on the B4368 road from Craven Arms to Much Wenlock.

We called in for a lunchtime pint on our way home from a lovely short break near Ludlow. The Swan proved to be an excellent choice. It was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, the staff are genuinely very welcoming and there is a selection of local ales. My two pints of Hobson's Town Crier were in absolutely tip-top condition.

This is a pub that deserves to succeed BIG time ....

Went here for food last night, lovely simple well cooked food and plenty on your plate, plus some great Hobson's beer. It is such a lovely old place (dates back to the 1350's) with lots of little rooms and a nice garden too.

visited this pub on a saturday evening for a meal.
Juke box was on very load, it seems to be the local haunt for teenagers all sitting on the pool table smoking, when i reminded them of the new smoking laws i was laughted at and then ignored, bar staff seemed uninterested.

I went to this pub recently with a large family party. We ordered our food in advance, were given a great separate dining room and the food was ready to go on arrival. Food was delicious and plenty of it with good service. Good value. Don't live in the area but would go back in the future if had the opportunity
