I guess that Weymouth just has too many pubs these days.
If you look around the place there are pubs on every corner and people just don't go to pubs like they used to.
The Queens hotel just doesn't look that appealing to go in so maybe these are the reasons for it's closure.
Like the previous post says "money always wins!"

This pub has been converted to offices for an accountancy (?) firm. It looks like the bean counters always win in the end!

Closed - looks like it has been re-possessed by Admiral

2 handpumps although only Otter Bitter on yesterday at 3 a pint. No issue with the beer quality. Friendly staff and customers.

This place has had (and is having) some money spent on it. 3 separate rooms, rather sparcely furnished. a new kitchen was being installed yesterday so no food available.

Still undergoing renovation behind the scenes, but otherwise showing really good promise for something new in the Weymouth area.
Decent beer, food and staff.
Right opposite the station as well, so less chance of missing the train home. Well that's the theory anyway.
