This was the first Pub on our tour of Scarborough today, it did not disappoint. They had Theakstons best, Old Peculiar, Caledonian XP and Flying Scotsman on the wicket and was reasonably priced too. Nice pub layout with plenty of little rooms. Would recommend if you are in the area. (Have down loaded a Photo, if the moderator can get around to authorising it ). Hollow.legs - 22 Feb 2013 20:01
A decent, traditional pub, well worth a visit - just far enough from the town centre! A good choice of cask ales, the Deuchars IPA I drank was well kept. alexw - 26 Apr 2012 00:20
Cracking pub, always a nice atmosphere with a good mixture of people and ages. Free quiz on tuesdays gets pretty busy, and the weekly live music events are to be recommended (especially the blues club on thursday nights). Not bad pub-grub either. Worth a visit if you like real pubs. DogsBody242 - 2 Jun 2009 23:32
Went in a couple of times on a visit back home. Much improved. Four real ales on and in decent condition. Busy with an eclectic mix but a good atmosphere. New manager of late and he obviously knows the business. Many different music nights downstairs as well. Worth a look willesden_seadog - 29 May 2009 20:38
This pub is certainly not an 8.4 as it's rating currently stands. Decent range of beers when I called and the Black Sheep was OK but nothing special. The crowd that were in were a bit boisterous and loud. Due to the shape of the place it's pretty difficult to get from one side to the other when even averagely busy. Lots' of better places in Scarborough. ROBCamra - 15 Dec 2008 16:08
