| Visited the George today for lunch and was very disappointed with the food a curry made from left over beef and a bowl of tomato soup which tasted like a cuppa soup, to be fair it was not expensive and the service was good and friendly, we sat in the sunny rear garden which was nice. aec470 - 28 Jul 2011 18:37 |
| Visited this pub for lunch on Good Friday and had a warm welcome and an excellent value bar meal (main course �7). Our visit coincided with their Easter Beer Festival and there was a huge choice of real ales with everything at �2.50 a pint. classic0904 - 26 Apr 2011 16:29 |
| Gave this pub a try after seeing the reviews, but was very disappointed with the real ales today. Decent enough old fashioned pub, but it was absolutely freezing cold & expensive. I decided to take a walk round to The New Inn in Easton and found it lovely and warm with wood burner roaring. The real ales were excellent too.
