This is possibly one of the best pubs in Bedford, being friendly and welcoming. The beer is not the best I have ever tasted but by no means the worst and the service by Bedford standards is exemplary. The only downside to this pub seems to be the lack of fresh air circulating every time I go in which leads to it being very stuffy if busy. Although I didn't try the food the menu was clear and reasonably priced and the food that people were having looked appetising.

Called back over Easter nice pint of IPA with the New Southern or Northern pull options, Northern was more creamy, and Abbotts was a nice pint to, starting a cask ale loyatiy card soon and new ales coming along with New Management couple taking over this weekend really is a nice Pub and if we get a Summer great outside seating areas.

Fairly big, edge-of-town pub. Busy, presentable and friendly sort of place. Had a pint of IPA from one of those fancy new fonts that Greene King are experimenting with (but why?).
