Only time I went in it was like a saloon bar in a bad Western film. All the locals went silent as I walked in and stared at me as I ordered my pint, which came in a dirty and very scratched glass. The seats were in such poor repair that I nearly fell through the bottom of mine. Then an altercation broke out and the barman was being threatened with a pool queue while the locals vocally taking sides. Interesting experience, but I wouldn't care to repeat it....

The pubs along the High Road have never particularly appealed to me over the years. But on Sunday, I finally entered this one. It seems to be owned by Irish and Jamaican people. The interior is a single bar that is looking a little shabby. But it does have character. Fairly busy after the football match, the pub only has keg beers and ciders - Stella, Strongbow, Carlsberg, Fosters, Kronenbourg, Guinness, Guinness Extra Cold and Tetleys Extra Cold. Not as bad as I expected.

Absoloute dump of a pub, if you can call it a pub.
Every Friday, Saturday it is full of Rastafarian men playing cards for money or dominoes and constantly banging table and shouting. This goes on for hours on end and throughout the duration not one of the 20 or so Rastafarians has a drink on the table.
Behind the bar is very dirty , ceiling looks like it has started to fall down in two places. Toilets smashed up completely, no working lights , toilet roll has to be purchased by customers from shop few doors down.
The landlady , a painfully thin hagged person and who has clearly had a hard life (looks 25 years older than she actually is) allows people to come in who have just been shop lifting to sell the stolen items to punters. She even bought two bottles of vodka herself from the chap. He had Iceland pizzas, lumps of meat, alcohol and was selling the stuff for a 1/3rd of its value. I have been working and living in Tottenham for the past 7 years and have given it a miss for 6 years, then popped in out of sheer optimism for the first time . I was offered Cocaine in the toilets, counterfeit DVDs from a Chinese woman at the bar, and newly stolen food products from a Jamaican fella, all in the space of one pint , half hour!!
The landlady Shivoon , the woman that said she was the owner , is clearly out of her depth here.
None of us will be back that's for sure. We'll take the long walk up to the gilpin or stick with the occasional after work drink at the Elbow room a few doors down...

Stay away from this pub unless you to like to walk into the gents & and find itoccupied by a man & woman dealing.
By the way the publican seems to be fully aware of what is going on.
