Went to this pub in Oct 14, on a road trip and stopped in Weymouth for a pub crawl. This was second pub we did and was not good. I am certainly not OCD but this pub was not clean, the seats smelt dank. The beer was a bit flat, there are loads of pubs in this town, and no reason I can see to use this one

Funny you should say that Latitude. I went in late July. Walked into the downstairs bar, the barmaid saw me and walked upstairs. I waited 5 mins with no sign of being served before walking to the upstairs bar, where I saw barmaid 1 chatting to barmaid 2 with apparently no intention of serving anyone. I walked out pintless. Didn't go to the Lion though, I crossed the bridge and went to the Ship. I've rated the pub as a nought as it's not easy to rate a bar where you cannoy get a drink.

Popped in for a beer recently......but no luck. Chronically understaffed the two young ladies behind the bars were more interested in chatting to each other and their mates than serving customers. Gave up eventually and went along to the Red Lion!!

Good friendly and efficient service from the female staff on duty but sadly the food a total letdown. Ordered Surf and Turf with Chips, chips underdone both my wifes and I sent them back as underdone, steak was as thin and as colourless as a rasher of bacon and the 5 measley hard prawns in breadcrumbs the least said the better, all at 11. 95 each, what superb value I dont think. So sad for such a prime position on the harbour. Best avoid the food, just have a beer and go....

Popped in with the wife after sampling a 'two for 9 meal' at the Rendezvous. I expected to see half a dozen ales on and was disappointed to only see Courage Directors, Best and Caledonian on. I plumped for the Caledonian which was so so. A music quiz was in full flow, followed by a two piece band. The place was heaving. Pity they cannot put more decent beers on. And yes, the toilets were dirty (do old sea dogs prefer dirty bogs, I wonder?)
