Chef and brewer..... Service is excellent, food is much better than previous and a half decent pint of hobsons. Would only ever go here for a meal....

Having visited this pub 3 times in the last 2 weeks, each time have found no-one serving at the bar! The excuse, they have had no enough customers to warrant having more that 1 staff on at a time, and the Manager being upstairs tending to paperwork! So the one lady on duty was serving meals and serving drink to customers - our advice, if you are in a hurry try another local pub. One positive mention is that when the food does eventually arrive it is of good value and presented very well.

Dreadful! 4 quid for half a tin of heinz tomato soup for a starter, a main course of fish which was so full of bones as to be inedible and a fruit crumble with no fruit in it......

The service was also awful, at one point i had to go looking for somebody to clear our mains away so we could carry on with the meal....

When we complained and offered to pay half the bill we were told we would be treated as having done a runner and the full amount would be charged to our card anyway.

It's a good job we hadn't set up a tab then!

To top it all we were then barred from ever coming back because we had the temerity to complain.

Congratulations to the new management for ruining what was a great pub....

Have eaten here many times, food can be hit and miss, some of the fish dishes are worth trying.Staff are friendly, sometimes it takes a while to be served and drinks can be a bit over priced

Very average pub fare food-wise, the beer is typically over priced but service was not bad.
Its hard to see what customer group this type of out-of-town pub/resturant is now trying to attract; I suspect they don't know either.

It was a much better venue when the kids playground was in use, they had weekend barbeques and bonfire night parties, and quiz nights were put on.
