A pint of Potton IPA sampled here in excellent condition - pub always worth a look as they do sometimes have interesting guests in addition to the Shep Neames. boroboy23 - 16 Nov 2011 12:46
Pub itself is great but I preferred it before it was taken over by Shepherd Neame. The choice of ale has diminished to just their own offerings (although Harveys Christmas was on yesterday) and prices have shot up - £3.50 minimum for a pint of ale! I know this is the centre of Brighton etc etc but other pubs nearby e.g. Seven Stars are much cheaper. Shepherd Neame pubs are consistantly expensive in Brighton steve_on_tour - 23 Dec 2010 11:12
This place deserves it reputation for good food and fine ales. As is customary, the staff catered brillantly for my group partaking of the special Christmas menu yesterday, at a time when the pub was very busy. They provided table service, making sure we weren't kept waiting for the food and that we all had enough drink before, during and after our meal. The food itself was excellent, as always, and was reasonably priced. A great selection of ales was on offer including Harvey's Old Ale, which tasted as good as at any Harvey's pub. My only slight complaint was that our pints were often short measures. No reason why the Bath Arms couldn't make it into the Good Beer Guide, if they can concentrate more on this type of detail. benz104 - 4 Dec 2010 13:10
Amazing! I've been coming to the Bath for a few months now and always loved it but last night was my first time to try the food and it was divine. My wife and i took some friends and everybody loved it. The food was excellent( better than most expensive restaurants) and the staff were friendly and helpful. This is a place that really gets it right, Great food but still a proper pub. jeff63 - 29 Apr 2010 23:08
I've just discovered this site and was so annoyed by the pompous arse who's review appears below i was moved to review myself. The Bath arms is a go to pub for me whenever I'm in town and is always a great pleasure whether I'm alone or with friends. There's a great, friendly atmosphere, really nice staff and exceptional food and ale. I'm not a great wine drinker but my girlfriend says is a fan of their list. All in all an amazing little pub in a great location. The only downside for me was the recent takeover by a big brewery as it seems to have reduced the beer choice. LH1 - 13 Oct 2009 14:31
