user reviews of the Kings head, Wye

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

As nearby establishments' stars falls so another rises in the King's Head, which has taken on new management and furnishings and moved itself impressively upmarket accompanied by a normally unheard of increase in capacity.

I believe there may be a bed and breakfast attached; I haven't tried the food, but the accommodation is satisfactory by the standards of business visitors who often have prolonged stays.

Does everything it used to, with the sports tv and the beer garden, offers more and better drinks at the same time. Great.

Popped in here midweek after a walk on the Downs. Very quiet. rear bar was quite large, but we opted for the small "beer garden" a patio area the back. Spitfire went down well.

From the outside looks like your typical village pub but not too sure about the interior decor. There's a ledge and stool set up as you come in more akin to a snack bar and then some sofas and a table in the front area while the rear bar looks like some kind of cafeteria. Staff and locals were pleasant and friendly enough and the Master Brew was as good a pint of it as you'll get anywhere.
