the ale was okay but I found it a bit too pub food and child friendly for my liking.

Pleasant pub outside the town centre but opposite the railway station. It was quite busy on our Saturday afternoon visit with locals, visitors, families, children and dogs. Rhymney Best, Rhymney Export and Sharps Doom Bar were on, alongside a real cider - Gwynt y Ddraig Dog Dancer. The main bar area was busiest. But there were side rooms for a little more solitude.

Great place for a beer. Several Real Ales on tap on my visit and all on top form. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food great and reasonably priced. If you want a bed for the night the rooms here are fine - clean, tidy and well maintained.

Pleasant patio area at the rear and a large grassed area with trees and tables out at the front.

Worth a visit.

Nice to see the pub back open again. Had several nice pints of Reverend James in here. The food menu is good value & there is a wide chioce available.

A excellent pub, I called in there yesterday. A traditional, old fashioned inn. Just over the road from Llandrindod railway station.

Two real ales - we tried the Youngs Special and it was very well kept - and an excellent food menu.

If you're in that area, well worth a visit!
