| Been to Chipping Campden many times but always missed this gem of a pub..... The Good Beer Guide told me all about it. Classic Cotswold Building - originally C14th - honey stoned, low ceilings, complete with a sign on the door warning you. To the left a posh restaurant - to the right, a bar - less formal but setup for dining. Coal Fire. Outside Courtyard. Four real ales on - and the Old Hooky was in superb condition. | There was a range of excellent ale when we called for lunch today. The HPA and Hooky were both in top form. The food is also excellent and with proper table service. Quite a lot of the pub is given over to eating, but it remains a pub rather than a restaurant to its credit. The clientele feature a fair representation from the ex-public-school-military-farming sector perhaps, which is only to be expected in this part of the world. | Great pub, the best in Chipping Campden by a long way. It was the only one really busy last weekend and the only one selling a decent range of traditional beers. It's not rocket science. | Busy pub on a Friday night with customers eating. Food was good with an interesting menu. Booking required for busy times. 4 beers on including Hooky Bitter and the best was Wye Valley HPA.
