user reviews of the Merry Harriers, Westcott

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Nice enough place on the old main road between Cully and Exeter.

It was pleasant sitting out the front in the autumn sun and inside looked cosy too.

However the service was appalling and drinks quite expensive so it is unlikely to be a destination again for us.

Most generous Sunday Roast I've found locally - always good and fab roast potatoes.

Good honest local food, they source from local producers. Friendly and welcoming and a lovely garden at the back, the food is great, my favourite local.

The Merry Harriers is a proper country pub, a warm welcome and a cosy fire in the Winter. The food is good they have a steak night on Thursdays, sirloin and a bottle of wine for twenty quid!. The ales are local and well kept with Teignworthy, Otter and O'hanlons, the wine list good too.

Pleasant country pub offering several real ales and usual crop of nondescript lagers and Guinness of course!

Recently changed hands resulting in adequate changes to food offerings, although chef only just started on permanent basis in July 2008. Worth a look!
