please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

This pub is now more of a restaurant than a pub, if you just want a drink I wouldn't bother.

Been here a few times over the past few months. The food is nice, and quite a selection is available on the menu. It isn't cheap but then you wouldn't expect it to be due to its location. They do a pre-starter option for those who are too impatient to wait for their starter! Tempted by this I have had the warm flat bread with oil a couple of times. The first time it was very nice, but the second time there was not the same selection of breads (it was as if they had run out of one so just substituted with two of something else) and they seemed a bit stale or over heated, or possibly both. The rest of the meal was fine but just a shame this spoiled the experience. They have a couple of real ales on, which have always been perfectly pleasant.

We have been back to the Green Dragon several times this year (2011) and had a good meal with excellent service.

Had a very disappointing meal at the Green Dragon on Saturday.
The staff, welcome and the place itself could not be faulted its purely the output from the Kitchens which was very poor.

Starters were way over micro-waved my cheese sauce had separated into two different colour liquids and one brown solid. My wifes main Hunters Chicken was a square of processed cheese stuck to the plate with a piece of burnt chicken on it.

The kitchen forgot the vegetables, when this was realised we were told they will take 5 minutes or so do you still want them

This isnt your boozers pud in the traditional sense. This is right at the top of the tree when you want really good quality pub food ,in fact im under selling it when i describe it as pub food, its much much better than that. This is worth travelling to if you want a few drinks and some great food.
