| This was right up the street from where I used to live, and I went there once...only once. The downstairs bar was dank, unwelcoming, and generally unpleasant. Not the sort of place to go if yo've got other options. I haven't see it since it went through rehab, so to be fair, it might be fantastic now. But it sure wasn't last time I was there... | Went here on Sep 6 (see below) and had a cracking evening. The downstairs had been refurbed...very slick. Lots of comfy sofas and cool club look. An excellent contrast to the eclectic north african styling of restaurant bar up stairs....sadly my friend no longer runs the place and it's under new ownership (that'll be why the tel. no. no longer works) Now called the Nile Bar downstairs and apparently upstairs in being converted into a bakery.....shame brasilica69 - 15 Jan 2006 16:59 |
