Why is this awful place on BITE?
No real ale - only John Smith's keg crap and Guinness, all served in plastic glasses.
AVOID.

Now a Harvester. Ridiculous queues at peak times (to the door - some 30ft away?) . Touch-screen system for staff will convert your simple enquiry / order into a 6 minute prodding ineffectually at screen to ascertain precisely nothing. Don't be alarmed, a few moments into your 'meal' to be accosted with "everything OK" by a staff memeber looking the other way as they say it, and then perhaps again by another one, if they happened to have played some minor role in your time there. Some staff absolutely brilliant, others plain awful.

Now more of a food pub than anything, but is scrubbed up well since the smoking ban. If you just want a drink and sit outside your not allowed to walk through the pub! You have to go out the front door and via a side gate like its some sort of crime..

Good for a pint by the beach and chain pub food. Full of grockles unsurprisingly but very kid friendly.

we love this place but beware the new owners m+b they will probably turn it into a high volume beachside cafe. they will lose lots of trade if they lower prices and standards and drag in the dregs.
