user reviews of the Wheatsheaf, Chinnor

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Both the pub and garden busy last night despite very high prices for the area and dire Greene King offerings of IPA and Wheatsheaf Ale (suspect it was Old Trip rebadged for the pub). Fortunately Timmy Taylor Landlord was also available and very drinkable as usual but that would not be enough to tempt me back. This is not a reflection on the hardworking barstaff who were very cheerful.

visited this pub couple weeks ago.friendly locals nice garden.real shame that its changed to a bare cold looking pub much nicer when was traditional decor.why do they keep ruining pubs by knocking the heart out of them

Fantastic pub, very friendly staff, Land lord is very friendly and welcoming, has a lot of time for his customers, great food, large Beer Garden great for kids in the summer, the range of bottle and pump beer is great, and has a good size car park and shows sky sports, the locals customers are friendly, great pub me and the family will be going back as soon as possible.

Due to the nationality of the landlord, this village pub serves South African beers (bottled - Castle, Hansa and the Namibian-brewed Windhoek), wines and cuisine (Boerwers, Biltong, etc) as well as GK favourites such as Fosters, Carling, Stella, Guinness and Strongbow. GK IPA as well as one guest now available. A warm welcome and friendly locals; probably the best pub in the village.
