| We visited 14 pubs on a week's tour of Romney Marsh, and this pub was the best. Superb remote location with a riverside garden at the back and tables in the sun at the front. The old cottage-like interior is attractively decorated; it would be cosy around the inglenook fire in winter. A quiet and civilised atmosphere prevails; no music, just conversation. | This is a fine place. Fine looking and in a tremendous location. It’s just about hanging onto its pub identity, it is very food orientated and the food is very good if a bit pricey perhaps, but you can still prop up the bar or better, sit outside on a nice day. Billyfish - 29 Jan 2013 13:15 |

| Visited today...food poorly presented and had no flavourings. Even the mayonnaise was tasteless. Service also needs to be addressed.Basically, another pub doing "pub food" but charging restarant prices! �10 for a Sub-standard Ham,Eggs and chips! Toilets also a let down!
