| The official address for this establishment is 1-5 Newington Road, Edinburgh, with the postcode shown. It is nothing to do with Duke Street. First visit yesterday - lunch for 9. Good selection of food. Deuchars on tap. Food excellent even though it took a little longer than expected to appear. Worth waiting for, especially the fish and chips. | I think this is the place that was called the Wine Glass for many years. It is very certainly not in Duke Street, which is in Leith. Postcode refers to Newington Road, and I think that's right - corner of East Preston Street. | Good jazz from the Diplomats of Jazz on a Sunday evening from 8pm. Deuchars IPA was very 'lively' and served too cold! The price charged was 10% higher than that charged in the Queens Arms, earlier in the evening. A very enjoyable evenings entertainment. jbsjazzer - 15 Sep 2008 16:15 |
