| This was the best pub of the day in Herefordshire for us. It's a typical rural pub and full of character. It seems the landlord has been here for many years and he allowed us to sample one of the beers, a ruby beer which wasn't quite to my taste. I believe around 4 ales were on in all, plus Hereford cider, as mentioned by the previous reviewer. I can also recommend the rolls which were quite tasty. Locals were sitting around listening to the demise of Hereford United's football team on the radio. But they all seemed reasonably friendly. | Cracking pub - a real hidden gem. Wye Valley and Three Tuns beer, Hereford cider (though it is fizzy) open fire and no fripperies. though you could spend hours in here people watching. About the only criticism would be one of an 'outsider' - as with all hereford pubs, spontaneous conversation is anathema. 10/10 for the pub itself!! jimbosmith - 29 Nov 2009 12:57 |
