user reviews of O'Neills, Stansted Airport

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

It's had revamp and is now called Bridges. It serves Bridge Ale and GK IPA on handpump - expensive and undrinkable and you get your change on a little plate like they expect you toleave some of it. Still dire and worth avoidng if at all possible.

If you are meeting someone who is arriving at the airport this is your only option..... well unless you catch a train for the 5 minute journey to Stansted Mountfitchet - the Kings Arms, a minute's walk from the station, although a GK house, is a traditional public bar & lounge set up and serves as good a pint of GK IPA as you can get. If you don't have the time then you can always buy a bottle of Pride from the Spar shop in the airport. In future if meeting someone at Stansted I will always cut it as fine as possible to avoid such a predicament.

With it being an O'Neills in an airport, one's expectations probably aren't going to be very high and therefore you won't be disappointed. About the only good thing I can think of is that at least they managed to serve my pint of Caffrey's in the correct glass. Go airside and head for the Wetherspoons instead.

In the terminal at Stansted this is the only option, Wetherspoons is airside. O' Neills so no cask ale so had to resort to Guinness. Food came promptly (although burger was pretty ordinary) and they had a member of staff going around taking orders so you didn't have to leave luggage on your seat while you went to the bar. Busy as you would expect.
