Its a Wetherspoons, what more can I say, the beer is cheap, the place was clean the staff friendly, beats being at work, happy days

A maze of a place. Several different drinking areas, with a mix of half cut locals and lads on their way somewhere else, looking to join them. Seemed to be a lot of bar staff, but most of them wandering about, looking for something other to do, than serving. All the pump clips were facing forward, but various beers were off or in the "other bar". Eventually found they had Ruddles on. Which was nice and cheap. Food was O.K.

This was a quiet Sunday night. How on earth do they cope when its busy?

Well what can one say, this pub has the smelliest toilets I have ever had the misfortune to visit. When I pointed out the awful smell to the barman/manager all he said was "Yeah I know"
People sitting eating at tables near the door to the toilets either had no sense of smell or they were used to smells like this.
The beer was not in very good condition, although the barman did remove the sparkler at my request. A definite NO from me. If this was the only pub in Minehead I would be TT. Try the Britannia at Alcombe, 100% better.

As a weatherspoons I was plesently surprised with the decor.
The drink prices are excellent as you would expect from a chain pub.
Unfortunately the food is lacking as our steaks which were orderderd as medium
Arrived burnt beyond well done.
This may have been a foresight but not when the mushrooms are stone cold and raw.
