| The Head of Steam was our second pub of the day on our visit to Leeds. It had a better selection of both cask ales and craft beers than the Scarborough Hotel just round the corner and a CAMRA discount was offered here. The pub has a traditional feel, with a central bar. Staff were good and patient while we ordered 16 halves! Ales were Camerons Roots and Fruits, Road Crew & Strongarm, Northern Monk New World IPA, Timothy Taylor Boltmaker, Leeds Yorkshire Gold & Wilde Child Hedonistic Existence & Social Pariah. | Now Head of Steam. Another pub convenient for the station with some interesting real ales on. There's a lot of competition in that area though. About 10 handpumps and the 3 we had were all in good shape. Good variety as well, stout, porter and golden ales. Steamer1 - 7 Apr 2015 21:56 |
