Pub was a super place to watch the first game of the 6 nations rugby. Nearly everything was great - service, drink, and food. the only downside was finding the toilets occupied by several coke-heads at the end of the evening.

Can't say I liked this pub much. It's expensive, popular with yuppies, I found the service totally weird, I got served immediately on arrival, but I went to the bar half an hour later and was given the long stand treatment by all the bar staff and couldn't get served, god knows why, now in my 30s and haven't had that sort of shit since I was about 18. guess I wasn't trendy enough for the snotty Elgin, needless to say, won't be going back.

Quite a large traditional place, with good atmosphere, serving a fine range of ale.

There are a few local gawpers who hang about the bar, as you'd expect, but no-one too offputting.

We didn't eat here but I'd be very tempted.

Well worth a look in, I'd say.

Has improved recently since the churn of bar staff ceased and a more settled team appeared.....BUT.....the bizarre shift system often means at busy times it is hard to get served, whereas at quiet times there is a surfeit of staff. Anway, that aside, always 5-6 ales on at reasonable (for W11) prices

Sky TV appears to be back, although the sound was off today while some good early reggae was being played. On the pumps were Young's Bitter, Sambrook's Wandle and an IPA I hadn't come accross before.
