The Bull was my first stop of a crawl of Buckinghamshire pubs. I'd just been to the nearby Chiltern Brewery shop nearby for some last minute Christmas shopping. The pub was not as good as I was hoping. There is a bar area at the front and a lounge at the rear. Greene King IPA & Sharps Doom Bar were supplemented by Brains Firking Good. Nothing special to recommend it.

Called in yesterday lunchtime to find half a dozen presumably locals staring at their pints with no conversation going on. There was no evidence of any bar staff at the time either. Two ales were on, the most unimaginative Greedy King IPA and the inevitable Doom Bore so I decided to beat a hasty retreat to the nearby Bell. I have never visited previously and am highly unlikely to do so again.

Nice old fashioned pub with two bars that sells good beer. Everything a good local should be - a proper pub. Worth a visit, but not if you want to eat. Although the Scampi Fries are okay.

Good real ale pub in the GBG, get the beers usually in the Sports bar then wander to back bar where it's quiter. London Pride, Tetley's and Adnams - not an interesting beer selection but they are kept well.

Great, traditional pub with two very different rooms -- smart lounge bar to the rear and public bar with ESPN and Sky for sports on television. Beer is very good -- the landlord loves his real ale.
