Hotel/pub. Distinct area for a bar, as well as a bar in the food area. 3or 4 pumps of ale, Moon Gazer Jigfoot, Wild Summer, Wherry andlocal "craft ale" 😏 lucky Lobster.
Friendly staff multitasking, bar, waitress, receptionist, but did a good job.

Since my last visit, two and a half years ago, The Kings Head has had a massive refurbishment, by Chris Coubrough, (a local celebrity chef?), and is now part of the Flying Kiwi Group.
This is no longer a pub. It is a restaurant that serves beer. In this case, a combination that doesn't work too well.
The food is expensive, but it is very good, as one would expect. But they do have jus on the menu, not gravy - A pet dislike of mine.
I had a pint of the Adnams Southwold bitter I have had a lot better.
I have changed my original rating from 1 to 6, purely for the food and service.

Not quite sure where this is going - good food, good beer, but the 70s rock soundtrack and what appeared to be some slightly odd customers were jarring... Seems to be work in progress - but not a bad town centre pub.
