user reviews of Sir Stanley Gray, Pegwell Bay

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

A large Thorley tavern in the Pegwell area of Ramsgate. Used to be The Moonlighters club when I lived in the area.
The type of pub you have to make a point of visiting as it's not one the casual visitor to Ramsgate is likely to find.
I enjoyed a couple of Gadds beers along with a nice meal whilst sitting out in the sun looking across Pegwell Bay. Just the thing after a walk along the cliff top!
The barstaff were friendly and knowledgeable

The first pub i have visited in Kent to score a 10/10!
The pint of Gadd's No5 was exceptional, the service was great and the barman extremely friendly and knowledgable about the range on offer. The views over pegwell bay were great aswell. This pub cannot be faulted one bit,so VISIT!!!

Misspelled. Sir Stanley Gray being correct.

Imposing building on the cliff offering outstanding views of Pegwell bay , Sandwich and Deal afar.

3 Real ales on . Gadd's Uberhop, Abbot Ale and can't remember but 4.8%. So 3 good beers that afford the session drinker with no room for manoeuvre other than an Abbot shandy. Crazy policy if deliberate or perhaps we were unlucky.
Still served in good condition and a great view to enjoy them.

Verdict. Worth making the pleasant stroll along the clifftops from Ramsgate.
