user reviews of York and Albany, Camden

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Pouncy but very well done and quitensensally English.

2 beers available....Bitburger and Meantime London Pale Ale.

Pizzas on sale but I didn't see anyone ordering or eating them, it was only 6.30pm though

Nice stainless steel bar, offset by the beer being nearly a fiver a pint.

I doubt I'll visit again

I've never had a 12.5% service charge added to the cost of a pint when ordering at the bar so i think it's correct and proper to say this isn't a pub.

No idea why this place is listed on BITE as it's clearly a Ramsay-owned restaurant and bar, not a pub. That said, if you're looking for pricey cocktails and fine wine in Camden (why?!), this is your best bet. (The Albany Cream - bourbon, vanilla ice-cream and something else - was very good!) It attracts a fairly irritating Primrose Hill crowd and they bring their prams during the day, so bring a sharp stick.
