please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

I would say that this bar is more of a cocktail bar than a beer venue. They do serve a fairly good range of beers and ales. They seem to do alot of Ciders in summer as well, some unsual ones i havent heard of before which where nice! Mayby a few more ales wouldnt go a miss.

The girlfriend likes going here to try the different cocktails. Its also a late night venue with djs every day i think. the weekends and thursdays are very busy. i prefer the thursdays to the weekends to be honest because its 80s and 90's music. over all one of the nice clubs in town, its generally a good crowd in the bar when i go, and thats saying something because they open very late, 5am on the weekends.

I would say that it can be a bit crammed in there at times but that usually doesnt bother people too much when your having a laugh

This place has changed hands and formats more times than I can remember, most recently a bar called ME1. Now more of a club, with minimal furniture inside to leave space for the dancefloor. The interior is also appropriately, given the new name, chocolate coloured which might have sounded good on paper but looks pretty hideous. No real ale of course, and not even any John Smiths Extra Dull - just three obvious lagers - and thus about the worst selection of beer I have encountered in a long time. However, the outside tables are on a quiet pedestrianised lane and can be a reasonable spot for a quick pint of something cold in the late afternoon sun.
