| The Wheatsheaf is hidden away next to an old village church in the Dallington area of Northampton. It was my final stop in the county and it was just recovering from the exciting finish to the Six Nations rugby match. A few locals had clearly had a few, whilst a band was setting up in one corner. Service was slow, with barmaids more interested in sorting out TV channels and serving those who they knew or those who shouted loudest. But, I did eventually get served. It's an Everard's pub that was serving their Original, alongside Beermats Diplomat. Weston's Rosie's Pig was the cider. Lively place in a lovely location. blue_scrumpy - 18 Mar 2019 21:18 |
