Overall a nice pub, best avoided on match day if want quiet drink. Always somewhere to sit outside and service good - good pint of Cornish Coaster had. Nice friendly local

Somebody was asking me the otherday which pub I would recommend if going to the Rugby. After some thought once again I was drawn back to my old favourite. I know the central twickenham pubs draw the crowds but how bigger crowd do you need on a match day. I mean you can not get closer to the ground.

I thought after spouting on about the pub I should probably post my thoughts for others to see.

So if you are a looking for a pub with the feel of your local you need not look further.

Popped in for a quick pint and a spot of lunch in my lunch hour last week. Beer was good quality and the food was priced well. Would recommend to others looking to avoid franchised style pubs.

I had the misfortune two days ago to be sat in this pub when I witnessed a totally unprovoked fierce verbal attack on an elderly man by a drunken oaf,a very large drunken oaf I may add, this oaf`s language was worse than I have heard on many a parade ground and he seemed to be intent on physically attacking the older man until some of the other customers dissuaded him.Pleas from the barmaid had no effect on him and there did not seem to be anyone in the way of management in the pub.Things did eventually quieten down.On leaving I returned to Kneller Hall where I had been attending a function and spoke with the Adjutant regarding the wisdom of allowing military personnel to attend these premises. If the victim of this abuse reads this and wishes to contact me regarding any action he wishes to take please reply to me via this website.A DISGRACEFUL INCIDENT THAT WAS ALLOWED TO HAPPEN WITH NO CONTROL OR INTERFERENCE BY MANAGEMENT !!
