Dropped down a lot - a bit League of Gentlemen meets Straw Dogs on last visit. Couldn't get a seat as someone was saving them for people who hadn't turned up by the time I'd left. Couldn't get near the bar as some fat get was spread out along it. Landlord was loudly nattering about how he wasn't going to let riff raff from other pubs come in to is - can understand why has he already has enough of his own.

A definite improvement on last visit - it is the town's main ale pub nothing else to touch it bar the couple of micropubs.

Good pub with patio outside. Nice choice of beers which seemed in good nick.

Older pub on Oxford St with plenty of parking in the supermarket off Sharman Rd. Comfortable, well-appointed and clean with maybe 10 real ales, though with a less interesting selection than the Locomotive on the outskirts of town, and not such a warm welcome either. No real complaints though

Possibly the best pub in town with 16 hand pulls
2 were for Cider and 2 blank which means 12 different real ales.
Spoiled a bit by a few regulars (own puter tankard etc) standing in the middle
of the bar blocking your view of all that is on offer.
I tried a pint of Mauldons Silver Adder @ 3.10 which was very nice.
