Is this pub still open or not ?

BTW ....

For all you people that seem to want this Pub to fail, or are even GLAD to have it closed down, have you actually thought what will happen if it does close down. It will probably be boarded up for a few Months, Years even, and become an eyesore on the Winchester scene. Then will probably be sold at Auction for a trivial amount of money to a Property Developer, and turned into a block of Flats, or an Indian Restuarant......

You have been warned........

I see the cynics have already been on here to applaud the the failure of this Pub, which I find a shame, because at the end of the day, the owner John Sweeney ( like him or hate him ) has tried his best to keep the place open, and serve people like contractors, which were his bread and butter, and I'm sure they had good rates there too for their B and B stay, and there was certainly a need for this type of place in Winchester. I totally admire John Sweeney for his honesty and down to earth confessions in last night's episode of the " Hotel Inspector " ......

Well done John, good on you........

So The Hotel Inspector didn't save this dump then... Stayed here a while ago before THI and it was RUBBISH! Beer was drinkable but room was crap (Thats polite), shared bathroom was very crap (Even more polite). Beer was nothing special, I doubt it'll be missed by reasonable folk.
