user reviews of New Inn, Shortstanding

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Now under new ownership.
Three real ales on tap, all well kept and reasonably priced.
A fine selection of lagers, ciders and wines.
Extensive pub style food menu all very reasonably priced. The food my wife & I have sampled so far has been of excellent flavour and plentiful.
Very welcoming owners & staff, a large rear garden - everything a country pub should be.

We called in to the New Inn at the end of January. We were a party of 17 walkers of various ages from 19 to 62. The welcome from Rena and her staff was outstanding, the food was excellent and the beer was well kept and tasted great.

Whilst we surrounded a roasting log fire the party tried various beers and sampled food ranging from scotch egg and chips, a lovely soup and well filled rolls and sandwiches served with real chips.

Whilst it continues under its current ownership it will be exactly what a country pub should be.
