I've never knowingly been in this pub, but.... if you click on the map or gmap link at the top of this page it brings up a street in north Africa. I think it might be Libya. Thats got to worth an 8/10!!

Sharps Doom Bar and Cornish Coaster and Adnams Bitter. Visited because of winning a free meal so sat in roped off restaurant part at the back. No complaints about service which was excellent. Seemed a decent enough pub to me.

So this is where Geronimo's moved the disaster of the manager at the Morgan Arms to. Not normally one of my haunts but I was walking through the street back to Tottenham Court Rd station and decided to drop in for a pint and test the Geronimo's service. I saw her, Tanya, did a quick about turn and went and went to The Green Man. I may go back when she is not there just to sample and compare but never while she is there.

Well located, smart pub selling excellent condition beer (Adnam's, Sharps) @ 3 a pint, good choice of lagers, bottles etc. and caters for wine drinkers quite well. Gets a fairly large "after work" crowd of pleasant, normal people and then gets quieter into the evening. Food and snacks look good. Two large TV screens showing football.

This Pub used to be The Ben Crouch, which was always busy and it was a unique and fun pub in London, there was nowhere else quite like it.
Last year it was bought out and has now become a Gastro Pub, which is way too overpriced and similar to a lot of other central London pubs. The Drink is very pricey, the food even more so, and not even that nice. In fact I'd rather eat a Macdonalds and pay 5 for a Macdonalds burger than eat the food here!
The interior is a bit arty and modern, which if in the right setting would work well, but in here is just disastrous! The staff are also somewhat rude. I have actually visited this pub on 2 occasions, on the off chance that I may have just been there on a bad day the first time I visited. But, no, both occasions were not a fun night, and I found myself staying for one drink, trying to eat the food, and quickly moving across the road to 'The Green Man' for cheaper drink and food, and much better service. Avoid!!!
