Mmmm.

Best bit. Bizarre place which I find quite entertaining (my friends didn't).

Worst bit. I've been in 3 times in the last year and everytime the place was stunk out by their toilets (didn't try the food).

Last visit - music night advertised and I was in the mood to see a good bit of fiddlin'. Went in and 'Stand by your Man' was coming out of the speakers - my English friends thought this hilarious. So don't go if you're expecting traditional (live or Irish) music. All the punters were English.

Great lady running the place, with fine Guinness. Someone had usurped the pool table and she threw them off saying 'ah! be decent! That's an hour now they've been waiting'.

Nice dog still zooming about.

It's better than that GJ's just beside it but I'd probably head for The Old Sergeant before here (unless I was feeling a bit odd). Will watch a GAA match here and see how it goes.

Nice Irish pub with as the Original Rawnsley's rightly says a very friendly dog.

The Guinness is very good and the service is friendly. What's not to like?

More character than a lot of the local Youngs' line-up. And better than a lot of the dead-eyed dying hostelries that pepper south london

Only popped in on a flying visit on a quieter Sat afternoon when the weather was a bit biting but you can see it is a decent little hostelry
Bar staff go out their job happily and stands out as a unique oasis in the Youngs mounted pubs in the area
If you cant smile at the friendly reception of the pub dog that wants you to play 'ball' then nothing will cheer up your mood

Great pub, this. Rough round the edges, lovely staff and a good pint poured. Plus a comedy pool table in the back. A pub to spend a whole night in.

This is as close to a real Irish pub as you will get in England.
Great place.
