Certainly the best pub we visited all day.
Much cheaper than the nearby pubs, cosy inside with a large fireplace and with a decent sun trap courtyard out the back.
Our lunchtime meal with starter was decent and filled us up.
Wish we could have stayed longer here and would visit again.

Had a good evening meal. Reasonable selection of pub ffavourites from standard menu plus specials menu. Our two meals were good quality and portions. Very satisfying.

Choice of three real ales, as per the previous review, plus two Thatchers ciders - Gold and Dry. Some lagers, too I think, but who's interested in them?

There was a sign to the beer garden, but as a cold and wet evening we didn't investigate.

Good atmosphere. Dogs welcome. Pleasant, efficient staff. Good pub.

Enjoyed a great lunch stop on the way back to London from Cornwall as it's about 5 miles off the A30. Superb home cooked food with daily specials. My Green Thai Fish curry was excellent and our friends meals were also top quality. Three local ales, Princetown Brewery Jail Ale and Dartmoor IPA plus Teignworthy Reel Ale. The pub interior is full of polished brass and dark wood settles with a huge fireplace to one side of the bar. Didn't notice if there was a garden. Worth the detour!

Ridiculously small portion of food served to me recently. The first time I have ever eaten in a Devon pub and had to make a sandwich as soon as I got home
