Great to see and sample beers from the new Northallerton Brewery on sale at the White Swan.

Still an excellent place. A near-bottom of cask beer was changed immediately for another of the 5 ales available with a range of styles. Lovely spot as well in the village.

Another excellent visit to this superb pub which specialises in local ales. The landlord even went to the cellar to get me one. A must for good beer fans.

After more than 20 years living in North Yorkshire it is fantastic to have a local which is a genuine free house selling 5 beers in excellent condition. The beers are from local micros including Mithril, Yorkshire Dales, Wensleydale and often 2 from the new Walls County Town Brewery in Northallerton. In the summer the pub is open all day but now the Coast to Coast passing trade has stopped opening hours are more restricted but open evenings and weekend lunchtimes (but closed Tuesday). Looking forward to sitting in front of a roaring log burner on a winters evening. As Steamer says best to check if you are intending to eat.

Absolutely superb place. When I went there were 4 handpumps (about to be increased to 5) selling local micro beers ranging from citrus to dark. The food was delicious. As the pub is on the coast to coast walk it can get very busy in the summer so best to call ahead if intending to eat. On a summers evening there can be little better than sitting ouside overlooking the village green drinking a well looked after trad. beer. If you're ever short of those little neccessities like a tube of toothpaste they sell that as well!
