user reviews of Norwich Tap House, Norwich

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

A fair few of the beers weren't on when we visited last Friday evening (including some of the Redwell ones) but there were still about 10 on sale and I had a pint of Thornbridge AM:PM for £5. If there is such a thing as mainstream in the craft beer world, then I felt this bar leant towards it with its choice of guest breweries. Perhaps I'll give it another try one day in the hope that the beer range is slightly more adventurous.

The Norwich Tap House belongs to Redwell Brewery. There are no real ales and with the black and white board behind the bar listing the craft beers, it very much has the look and feel of a Brewdog bar. Beers were Redwell Starless, Steam Pale & Hells, Partisan & Prairie Real Time, Marble Earl Grey, Dark Star American Pale Ale, Wild Beer Millionaire, Mondo Up In Smoke, Magic Rock Rhubarbarella, Northern Alechemy Sour, Becks Vier, Great Yorkshire Blackout, Aspalls, Goose Island IPA & Liefmans Fruitesse. The Blackout was nice. But these beers can seem a little cold, especially at this time of the year.

Cracking place with an impressive range of (up to 20) draught beers (a selection of bottles also available)! It's in a nice part of the city, a short stroll from the pedestrian area - well worth a look and spending some time in whilst working your way along the available brews... ;-)

New addition to the Norwich pub scene. Has a large range of beers on tap and also a varied collection of bottled beers. Has a decent selection of the Redwell Brewery's range. Beers can be a bit pricey but worth seeking out as it's in a decent location.
