| October 2015. Beer was great, but that is it. Clients in and out of the doors, all on their phones, some quite rough for this end of Lee. This used to be the nearest Spoons to me and I used to avoid it like the plague, but it has got a lot better, prices and other pub closures nearbye now bringing in more middle class patrons. | My first visit to this rough 'spoons for a couple of years. It's a Tuesday tea time and on this visit it's not quite so rough as the last time I was here which was a Saturday afternoon in June 2012! 5.30pm and the pub is more than half full with everyone clearly a local. 3 staff on and all of look as rough as the customers! 7 ales across the 8 hand pumps. My pint of Brewsters Aromantica was alright, poured okay but it didn’t taste like it was kept that well. I think out of all the ‘spoons I’ve ever been in this one is right up there with one of the worse. The pub looks fine, okay it’s a bit tired but it’s alright…it’s the punters that make the pub so rough. I won’t be rushing back! lezford - 14 Aug 2015 11:39 |
| A typical shopping centre / town centre spoons, built into the Leegate centre at the side on the main road. 3 beers on draught when I visited and even though the pint I had was fine the place is a sh*thole and the clientele are not much better. | Not too bad in the week but I'd avoid Friday and Saturday night due to the clientel loitering around outside when the sun is out. Cheap booze and the staff are ok (can be a bit miserable).
