user reviews of Tilt, Birmingham

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

A good selection of craft beers including some more unusual choices - peanut butter stout and a nice sour were represented - so a good stop off on any Brum pub crawl even if the pinball theme is a bit gimmicky and naturally leads to a very male atmosphere. The downstairs is surprisingly dungeon like.

Small Birmingham bar tucked away in an arcade. We came here after our train to Leicester was cancelled. All of the beers were craft beers, with breweries such as Brew By Numbers, Amundsen, Vocation, Deya & Northern Monk represented. It's a strange place that seems to specialise in coffees. As the previous reviewer states, there are also pinball machines.

Unassuming bar (and I'd go so far as saying it was grotty downstairs) where the USP is 14 pinball machines over the two floors. If you don't fancy any of the 8 craft beers, then coffee and cake are also on sale. The coffee was only OK so, rather than have another, I went for half of Wiper and True's Small Beer No. 19 which, for a 2.7% brew, was pretty amazing even if it was £4.50 a pint (and the Left Handed Giant Pale was £5.20 a pint). But they were cheap in comparison to the Cloudwater DIPA v11 which was £5 a half. Interesting enough place but could probably do a bit better.
