Very sadly, Long John closed after the Jazz Festival (mid July 2006) and will not be reopening any time soon. :-( anonymous - 20 Sep 2006 21:55 |
A lively small pub near the centre of the city, serving draught Carlsberg beers including a Dark and a Special as well as the usual pilsner. Live jazz sessions 4 nights a week. On my visit (25/09/2003) Hans Knudsen's Jump Band was playing some bouncy numbers to which many people were dancing - indeed there was space enough for this. Woodpannelled throughout, the pub is quite dark, but cosy at night with the wall lights on. Some outdoor seating on the pavement in front. Quite a good pub all round.
