Handy little spot to meet near Canonbury station. Good selection of food and beers. Quiz nights etc. Chanced the Guinness and was pleasantly surprised, pulled Dublin style and allowed to rest before finishing off with a nice creamy head. Bar staff should put their phones away and look interested in customers Disappointed to see a few people walk in and out because of this. Overall though well worth a call

Popped in just before 9pm on a Thursday evening and the place was heaving.

Good quality food was on offer with most people eating or had eaten

4 ales on....Redemption Pale Ale, Shepherd & Neame Spitfire, Otter Ale & Darkstar Hophead also 1 cask cider and 2 in boxes behind the bar and continental lagers like Peroni.

Good decor and the old fashioned jukebox is a great talking point, however this pub is far too trendy for me, in fact it’s uber blinking trendy!

The Snooty Fox is a fairly upmarket pub, verging on the gastropub market, with its open kitchen that specialises in chicken. The decor is trendy. There is an old jukebox and a DJ area. Ales were Revolutions Kurt & Courtney IPA, Otter Ale, Redemption Trinity & Hook Norton Lion. Ciders were Dorothy's Orchard Dry & Cider By Rosie. This is a typical pub for this area. There are so many just like it. But at least it did a couple of different ciders. So I will give it a 6/10.

Reviews are always polarised on this site, and my review leans to the extremely positive. The decoration is really lived-in and ecclectic, not in the Antic haphazard defunct junk style but more in the style of well loved icons and icons who me and my friends could not identify. The lovely bald bartender did help us out with a few though! We go regularly for great ales and rotisserie chicken, and a proper relaxed neighbourhood vibe. Not many like this in London. Top 5 for me. Mint.

Walked out of here 5 minutes ago after having made a special visit to come here. There was a couple sitting in the corner and me. Totally ignored by the bar staff and got fed up with waiting. They acknowledged me as I started to leave and said to them that they should finish their conversation as it was probably far more important than paying customers.

It was a shame because they had a good selection of ales and would have been to spend some serious money but what can you do when they won't serve you? Won't be returning.
