I note that the Victoria has not been in the Good Beer Guide since the 2005 edition. But I really can't see why not. It's a great little traditional boozer with a good selection of real ales and a real cider too. There are 2 rooms at ground level - a small and cosy front bar and a larger rear bar. There is a further room upstairs with a pool table. Toilets are upstairs too. The ale range was Wye Valley HPA, Backyard Bitter, Cottage North Western Pale Ale, Morland Old Speckled Hen & Greene King Abbot. The cider was Thistly Cross Whisky Cask. Recommended.

Out of the way up the hill, it`s a nice enough beerhouse with a choice of real ales, friendly staff and regulars...worth a punt if your in the vicinity.

I agree with ' ianatwalsall ' it is not very inviting externally, but once in the beers are excellant, keenly priced, friendly staff and good food at lunchtime. Always seems to have a Backyard bitter on at a very low price.

Good old fashioned pub with a choice of ales - a few from Backyard brewery. I am ashamed to say I have walked passed this pub for years without actually going in - I think the outside has never been that inviting. But now I have been next time in Walsall I shall be popping in again.
