Not closed!! Very welcoming (not just one, but all the staff). Only two real ales on, but good ones and very cheaply priced for London. Good food too, served with a smile. And quiet but comfortable. What's not to like?

Went to this pub with some of my closest pals to watch the boxing match Froch vs. Groves. We were all having a great time, got there 7pm sharp to get some of the famous pre-boxing atmosphere with the locals. We all had a good few drinks each and got one before the fight started. In the middle of the fight the barman came over and told us we either buy another drink or we would have to leave. Outrageous behaviour!

Definitely not closed, but not exactly overly furnished inside. Possibly because of the England World Cup game in the evening, but furniture was at a premium.
Very limited lunchtime menu (World Cup bar snacks at 2 per option - not too bad considering) and an uninspirational selection of beer. Had a somewhat vinegary pint of John Smiths.
Great place to watch the football if you're a lager drinker, but I won't be heading back in a hurry.

Dont normally write these but thought had to put something on to warn people about this place. Took my mum for lunch there on Monday, without doubt the worst customer service ever seen in a pub. Ordered 2 dishes with a side order of chips. The 2 main dishes took 35 minutes to arrive, and the extra chips didnt turn up-till the meal was finished. Lasagne was burnt, with the side salad being non existent..
The young idiot barman was very rude, and when we asked to see the manager he went downstairs, came back and said "yeah she in the kitchen now she be up bout 20 minutes". Not exactly good behaviour from a manager. We left before she came up, safe in the knowledge we would never return!
