Underrated pub. Frequently go there on the way to/from Selhurst Park. Away from the main roads, sits on the junction of Harrington Road and Albert Road in a residential area. Near the tramstop and one side of South Norwood Country Park.

A Greene King pub, the beers always served well reasonably priced.
TV screens and Sky/BT for showing sports.
Food decent and Family friendly.

Not bad - been through a number of owners over the years. Current staff know their stuff, food good. Lived here for years, and it's the best it's ever been.

Not sure when this place re-opened, but it was certainly open on Tuesday evening. South Norwood appeared to be a slightly edgy area. The pub itself is in a residential area and seemed a relative haven from the rest of South Norwood. Neverthless, it was nothing special with only Greene King beers on and a fairly bland modernised interior. Greene King IPA & Hardy & Hansons Rocking Rudolph were the 2 ales on offer, with a Ruddles best clip turned around and a fourth handpull unused. Doubt I would come back even if I was unlucky enough to be in the area again.

Looking forward to this place opening again with new managers. Not long now.
