Further to Paul d102's post last September, Oxford City Council approved the plans for demolition of this pub about three months ago and it has been closed for a while. I cannot comment on Bertrand's review as I have not been in there for about 30 years and there are unlikely to be any further reviews barring any remarkable change of plans.

According to the Oxford Mail: "Linea OX1 Ltd has proposed knocking down The Adventurer – formerly The Honey Pot – in Hollybush Row, so it can build seven flats, two of which would be two-bed and the rest one-bed".

Now rechristened as The Adventurer and probably more of a bar than a pub. Quite decent but only Deuchars on tap on the ale front - we ended up with Brooklyn Lager which it was good to see on tap. As in its incarnation as the Honey Pot, better than most pubs near stations. That said, £7.50 for a pint and a half isn't going to encourage custom.

Has gone downhill over the last couple of years and seems to have been passed from owner to owner to the point that it's lost its character and is now just a room serving standard drinks near a train station.

The beers on last night were Old Hooky and Doom Bar. I went for the former, which was just fine but nothing special at all and we left after one.
