This is a superb (and very good value) restaurant, and although there are drinking sections, not really a pub in the conventional sense... mozzzzzz - 11 Mar 2013 16:38
Utterly soulless. I used to enjoy drinking here in the pub's previous incarnation, in that back room, past the restaurant —Auberge, I think. They had comfy red sofas and lots of pot plants. If you swathe your ever-expanding beer gut in a pastel shirt and wear loafers in an unironic way, you'll fit right in these days. Revd_Cuntyman - 6 Jan 2012 15:12
A gastro-y sort of place with a long counter to the front. Twickenham Hornet and Doom Bar and Pride. A couple came in after me and asked for peanuts. Said the barmaid, "We don't do peanuts. We have smoked almonds, wasabi peas ..." Hilarity ensued. It also has a large car park and a shortage of places to tie up the bike. rainlight - 2 Jul 2011 19:02
We went there twice in September to only be turned away at the restaurant. They said they had no more tables, although I noticed they had various tables free. When questioned about this, the chap stated that they were keeping some tables free for certain people (certain people obviously not being us). Both times this was the case. As a 3rd generation Teddington resident, I was completely disgusted at the attitude of this gentleman. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. senaro - 18 Feb 2011 02:29
The newly opened restaurant seats 140 people and its mostly open plan which makes it feel like a very well presented 1980's Tex Mex. I have now eaten here several times as visiting friends wanted to try it. The food looks attractive but portions are very small considering the price and fairly bland in taste. The bar at the front is very narrow and to access the small snug rooms you need to traverse the entire length of the bar which doesn't really work, for this reason smokers are made to feel especially unwelcome and access to the rear patio garden is reserved for summertime diners. Overall the bar feels like a waiting room for the restaurant and on my final visit, the male barman was offhand when I queried why a lager shandy was about to cost me £6.20 . Apparently they only have bottles of lemonade and that wasn't their problem...until I walked out. TheChairmen - 3 Oct 2010 18:08
