Another change of management in May last year saw The Swan attempt to return to being a traditional pub. It's now leading with excellent Thai cuisine and steadily building a reputation as a live music venue with bands on most Saturday nights. Given that Shepherd Neame ales aren't to everyone's taste, it's doing well.

Here we go again. Under new management since c May 2016. Now slightly different furniture and Thai food with 'chill' background music. Same, slightly odd selection of beers. Let us wish them luck.

After a brief period of closure, The Swan reopened as a gastropub. Where once there was a dartboard and live bands, now there are high tables, comfy sofas and a retro video games machine. The pub now leads on food but the ale's in good nick and the staff are welcoming and friendly. I will return.

Now very much a traditional pub after a foolish foray into the world of gastropubism, The Swan is doing just fine with the things that a proper boozer should have: live music, decent pub grub, draught beers in good nick and TV sport of different
types (mainly football and both codes of rugby but also cricket, golf and athletics). Recommended.

Simply love this place...great all rounder.
Live music every now and then, combined with sensible management.

thank you
