No longer a pub.A bar/restaurant type establishment now.

Great pub, definatly the best in southgate.atmosphere great, bar staff very friendly as well as locals.Very Good selection of spirits and beers. The beer garden was a pleasant suprise, not the usual couple of tables in a car park that most pubs seem to have these days.Even the smoking gazeebo looks inviting and not the usual bus shelter or dog pens that us smokers normally have to be subjected to.Although not the bigest pub in town, there is still good use of the space available, with darts and pool table and even a nice seating area with sofas.overall i will definatly be frequenting this pub on a regular basis

This is a decent enough pub, although the service was a little sullen. I loved the courtyard like area out the back of the pub and Id imagine that it would be lovely on a sunny afternoon.

Its a pretty small pub, but it is perfectly laid out with a pool table and dart board that dont feel like they have been shoehorned in. In contrast the toilet is quite strangely put together with a generously sized crapper, but only enough urinal space for one fat bloke and if anyone decides to actually wash their hands you have to stand and wait for them to finish drying them as you cannot get past.

Drinks on offer were the usual lagers plus Abbot Ale, Old Speckled Hen and Deuchars IPA.

I didnt find the locals that friendly, but it wouldnt stop me going back as this is a very nice pub.
